At the Ophelia Osinachi Matthews Foundation, our work is driven by one mission: to deliver world-class healthcare to communities that have been left behind. We combine advanced medical technology, compassionate service, and targeted outreach programs to close the healthcare gap in rural Africa.

— Ophelia Medical Diagnostic Center
Our flagship project — the first state-of-the-art medical diagnostic center in Amalin Ngugo, Ikeduru, Imo State — brings advanced medical testing and early detection services to communities that have never had access before.
Key Features:
Modern diagnostic equipment in 45-minute result turnaround.
Trained medical professionals and visiting international experts.
Affordable and sometimes free services for vulnerable patients.
Specialized testing for conditions like diabetes, hypertension, cancer, infectious diseases, and more.

— Free Medical & Food Day (20th December Annually)
Over the years we started as a small act of kindness and it has become a major annual event that serves hundreds of people every year.
Our Focus:
Vulnerable community Amalim, Elders, women and children, low income Families and the Ex- Biafran currently been forgotten after the end of the civil war till date, and we get to reach out to them through their Advocate Mr Livingstone Godwill Udochukwu.
Comprehensive Support – Free consultations, diagnostics, medication, and nutritious meals.

— Community Health Education & Outreach
We believe prevention is better than cure. Our outreach programs travel into villages, schools, churches, and marketplaces to:
Educate on disease prevention and healthy living.
Raise awareness on early diagnosis for chronic illnesses.
Teach maternal and child healthcare.
Provide free blood pressure, blood sugar, and other health checks.

— Annual Veterans Support Program
We have a long-standing commitment to supporting 1967–1970 Ex-Biafran soldiers and their families. Through partnerships and advocacy, we:
Provide free medical care.
Distribute food supplies.
Offer moral and emotional support to restore dignity to these heroes.

As we grow, we are working toward establishing a rapid response service to handle urgent medical cases in rural communities, including:

On-call volunteer medical teams.
